I have a surprise job interview on Tuesday (a surprise for them, not a surprise for me) and I've been considering how best to act in public. I've also been wondering how to dress to make it very clear that I'm a potential Party Member for various kinds of adventures and I'm always open to new ideas.
I'll also take suggestions to make myself more confusing/concerning/cute and if you have something else you want to be perceived as in public I'll pitch some ideas to you too, but ONLY wrong ideas. I don't think I can kick you from the thread if you give actual good advice but in spirit I'm doing exactly that.

have a watch with a second hand. keep a wary eye on it. every 5 minutes exactly, take a singular crisp (potato chip) out of your bag and quickly eat it. act confused if anyone else mentions it. but act like its absolutely vital that you eat your crisp exactly on time. when you start running out of crisps, crunch them up into smaller pieces. start looking concerned and muttering things like 'its not working' and 'my power is failing' under your breath. when you run out of crisps, excuse yourself and run for the fucking hills. this will prove to them that you are a powerful creature

Do not sit in chairs. If there is a row of chairs, qhenever possible, lay on the ground underneath the chairs. If you can pull something in front of yourself to hide, even better. This will signal to potential enployers that your nesting tendencies are very strong and are therefore a better candidate for teamwork/gathering tart berries for the upcoming months

these are all great ideas, im taking notes as we speak. i especially liked touching on teamwork and gathering berries, that is right up my alley. i'm so good at picking berries you don't even know. i'm afraid that if i wear a watch then they will expect me to be on time, when I live on my own schedule, first and foremost. maybe i should take the watch Only to the interview.
i've also decided that i'm going to keep my phone at the very bottom of my bag and only take it out when i absolutely have to. this has two purposes: make it so it's harder to contact me: if you answer within a few minutes when someone texts you i find that sometimes that person will keep assuming that you will respond that fast every time. this is why i put most people on ice for at least 5 hours and it has nothing to do with social anxiety at all.
and second because i want to pick up whittling. if i need something to entertain myself with i can whittle and that'd be fun right? also i keep books in my bag and people are apparently impressed when they see you whip out The Art Of War by Sun Tzu even if you're really just staring at the dragon illustrations for 15 minutes.
this one isn't necessarily job related: but how do I make it look like I know how to do spells? (besides wearing a big pointy hat, thats not really my style) should i start wearing skirts? should i wear a snake like a scarf? do i make my own runic writing system and then write my to-do list on my arms?
thank you for your time

I think you should also find some little glass jars and fill them with fancy little liquids (glitter and oil, oil and food coloring, baja blast) and glue them shut and wear them as necklaces.
